
Gang Land, Gets some AI
May 17, 2007I have been working on the AI some and have a bit working for the game. It is addictive to have the enemy advance toward your guys on the screen and turn by turn close in and open fire. It seems to be taking shape.
The only bad thing I am running into is that I am finding a lot of new problems that I need to fix while plugging in the AI. I left some holes in my plan where I forgot about certain things, so this means a delay in production. It sucks yes, but all in all it is fun to develop.
It does feel good to start up the game and actually create a gang and do a battle and see that it is actually a game I have been developing and not just a spiffy graphical menu system. I cannot wait to get the battle systems bugs worked out and then get into the XP system and the injuries for the evolving group of warriors that is your gang.
The game is coming along nice and looks to still come out sometime this fall. Looking good so far.
