Digg Bans Me, for posting too much stuff
April 30, 2007I used Digg a lot, I used it to promote web content I liked and created. I got good feedback from other digg users and helped digg with thier User created conent. Yesterday I was banned, with no reason, from Digg.com.
I have officially found that Digg is controlling what content is placed on their site by controlling who is posting on their site. I have officially emailed them and informed them that I will be creating my own service on the net that is truly what I thought Digg was. This is both frustrating and inspiring. I really do not believe in people who treat people as mere pawns to make money and guide society the way they feel it should go, especially when you advertise as purely user created content.

Have you seen what’s been going on at digg.com this evening? Apparently someone else got banned for posting the HD DVD Processing Key (which will eventually allow HD DVDs to be ripped) and now everyone if flipping out. Almost every story on the front page is a variation of the key, and they’re all getting thousands of diggs. I think people are starting to realize that digg is a business instead of the completely democratic site that it paints itself as.
Yeah they are Nazi idiots. They are watching the content that is popular and if it is a money making idea they are deleting all traces of that idea and putting it into their list of things to do. It is exactly like communism or Nazi idiots. They do not want creativity and democracy to thrive, they want it to show them ideas and then they want to get rid of the idea maker. Fortunatly they cannot kill somebody over the internet, they can only make it like you were never on Digg, essentially killing you on their web page and they give no reason for it and reply to no emails.
